Hope Academy of Music and the Arts

Chamber Music Pittsburgh has established a free, need-based lending library of over 150 stringed instruments for Hope Academy's students to use in their lessons and ensembles. This partnership allows students, who may not have had access to musical instruments before, to borrow the instruments free of charge.

Montgomery Fellowship Ensemble

Each season, Chamber Music Pittsburgh sponsors the Montgomery Fellowship Ensemble, a string ensemble of high school age students selected through an audition process administered and judged by the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. The ensemble receives a year’s coaching in chamber music with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra violinist Jeremy Black, complimentary tickets to all of our concerts, performance opportunities, and occasional master classes with visiting chamber music ensembles.

Lobby Recitals

Prior to each concert, Chamber Music Pittsburgh features young artists and student ensembles performing in the Grand Foyer of Carnegie Music Hall, Oakland. These free recitals give the performers valuable performance experience and the opportunity to gain exposure to Chamber Music Pittsburgh's audience.
