Kronos’ 50th anniversary tour celebrates the ensemble’s contributions to the genre with a dynamic mix of new compositions, signature pieces, and commissioned works from Kronos Fifty for the Future.

Since its founding, Kronos has been transforming the string quartet into a living art form. From collaborating with emerging composers around the globe to commissioning and performing socially conscious works, Kronos has consistently explored how music can magnify the critical issues of our time.

One of the most celebrated and influential groups of our era, Kronos has given thousands of concerts worldwide, released more than 70 recordings, commissioned more than 1,000 works and arrangements, and collaborated with many of the world’s most accomplished composers and performers.

This concert is generously sponsored in part by Russell and Kathy Ayres.
