Timothy Williams

President

Tim Williams has a B.A. in creative writing with a minor in music from Carnegie Mellon University, a master’s in library science from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA with a certificate in business analytics from Robert Morris University. While a music librarian at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh from 2006 to 2021, Tim co-wrote the entry on Pittsburgh in the Grove Dictionary of American Music. He currently works as a data & regulatory analyst for a medical bill review company. He also enjoys hiking, biking, drumming, competitive Scrabble, and gardening in the same yard as his wife’s more impressive, magnificent garden.

Joseph Melichar

Vice President

Joseph Melichar is the Manager of Operations Technology and Innovation at FedEx Express Corporation, bringing over 20 years of expertise implementing HR, Payroll, and Operations technology solutions. His work includes deploying cutting-edge handheld scanning hardware and leading research initiatives in advanced automation, robotics, and autonomous vehicle solutions. A classically trained pianist and composer, Joe enjoys living life to its fullest with his wife Megan and three children; Margot, Merrick, and Macaire.

Shalini Ayyagari

Secretary

Dr. Shalini Ayyagari is an ethnomusicologist whose work explores music in cultural contexts, South Asian studies, critical ethnography, and development studies. At the University of Pittsburgh, where she has been a faculty member since 2015, Dr. Ayyagari teaches courses on ethnographic fieldwork, Bollywood film, South Asian music, and development studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Music with a specialization in Ethnomusicology from UC Berkeley.

Jennifer Crosby

Treasurer

Dr. Jennifer Crosby is a clinical pharmacist for Accredo Specialty Pharmacy with specific focus on the medication management of Hereditary Angioedema, Lysosomal Storage Disorders and Parkinson’s Disease patients. She earned her doctorate in 2010 from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was also a member of the well-noted and internationally recognized Heinz Chapel Choir.
